Aim
Bioinformatics is a scientific discipline that supports and advances biomedical research through the management and analysis - statistical or otherwise - of experimental data. As such, it combines expertise and technologies from molecular biology, data analysis, database technology, and information technology.
This course provides biomedical researchers with sufficient theoretical and practical skills to adequately apply bioinformatics in their own work. It combines lectures with computer exercises and aims to introduce you to the basic principles and algorithms of bioinformatics tools.
