Essentials of Health Economics

Aim

This course provides the participants with an understanding of the key principles and methodological concepts of health economics. The role of economic thinking in the drug development process is also addressed. Two group exercises will complement lectures and discussions
Day 1: Basic Principles of Economy
Day 2: Empirical Methods
Day 3: Empirical Methods and case studies
Day 4: Health Economics and Health Care Systems
Day 5: Health Economics and Health Care Politics
