Aim
This course provides an introduction to basic principles in epidemiology, including measures of disease frequency, study designs (randomized clinical trial, cohort study, case-control study and systematic review), types of bias, control of bias and measures of effect. Lecture material is supplemented with exercises and discussion of examples from the epidemiological literature.
