Aim
This course aims to address the following questions:
- How are medicines discovered and developed? What are the different steps that lead to introduction of a new medicine? The course will be focused on existing paradigms.
- Why does it take a billion euros to bring one medicine to the market?
- Why do so many potential drugs ‘die’ during the discovery and development process?
- What are the objectives and operational role of the regulatory authorities?
