- Understanding the role played by various relevant disciplines
- Experiencing relevant interactions and interfaces
- Learning the consequences of specific decisions and actions taken
- Learning what actions should be taken when carrying out a “real” process
- Teamwork/networking
- Developing one’s own set of learning objectives
